One of the most joyful aspects of being a jeweller is creating a piece for a client which they considered impossible. Victoria's husband asked me to make her a diamond ring, but wondered whether this was possible, as she has swollen joints which made taking rings on and off painful, and sizing the ring all but impossible. He asked me to make her whatever she wanted, and it was my absolute pleasure to make a hinged, platinum ring, princess-set with stunning diamonds for Victoria. The extraordinary mechanism is unnoticeable, secure and housed entirely within the band.
